Issue Manager
This is an unusual item of software and for me it offers the solution to making sure that I finish things. It works by putting the basic information about the task you need to complete in to a simple window. It then allows you to update and add notes to the task each step of the way until completion. This gives you a history of what happened and where you are. The history is a great thing to be able to print out and keep as a record of what happened when where and why.
Live Image
This image mapper by the former "Map This" is a worthy update. It's very easy to get to grips with and can zoom in to great detail in an image allowing you to map odd shapes very easily.
ZipMagic
ZipMagic is a firm favourite of mine and has the advantage of allowing you to see inside zip files to read documents of even do an installation all without opening the original ZIP. It can also handle the TAR files that seam to be coming fashionable to store various web items in.
Acrobat Reader 3.01
This is a free reader for the PDF files that are starting to pop up all over the place.
CuteFTP
This is a great FTP client that makes up and down loading of web sites easy. It also features a "Resume" mode which allows you to recover broken down loads. Very handy when you have down loaded 9.9 Mb of that 10Mb file
GetRight
This is a great little application is great if you're using a browser to retrieve files or you just don't like FTP clients. You just click and it starts down loading your file. You can have multiple, simultaneous downloads, it has a resume feature and the ability to make a mini log with your own description of the file your downloading. Never again will you look at that file marked XCBUK3E.EXE and wonder what it is!
